Governor Profiles

Alf Orban

My wife and I have two daughters both at Scotts Park. We are passionate about the education and personal development of children – they are our future.

We were both lucky enough to have benefited from good state provided education, and we want to do everything we can to help and support the school.  So I was delighted to be elected as a Parent Governor at Scotts park and I feel very privileged indeed now to be Chair.

In my working life I have been an accountant and tax adviser for more than 25 years helping clients build their businesses.

Rachel Ford
I became a Community Governor at Scotts Park Primary School following their previous Ofsted.  With my experiences and interests in both Education and my local community, I am able to support and challenge while learning about Scotts Park future vision to develop as a school.

I have been a teacher for 16 years and am currently a Headteacher of a large, outstanding, inner city school.  While the demographics are very different between our schools, I believe that all schools have the potential to ensure that all children receive a first quality education within a school culture of values and life long learning.

Clowance Taylor

I became a Staff Governor at Scotts Park Primary school following my decision to pursue a teaching career. I am interested in taking on a role that will further my experiences in   Education and provide an additional opportunity to support the pupils within the school.

I have been a Learning and Teaching Assistant at Scotts Park for the past year, since moving to the area from Essex. My former role as a Sales Trainer helped me recognise my passion for motivating and developing others. I now assist in coaching the KS2 Girls Football Team and enjoy the added responsibility of helping the children represent the school in matches and tournaments. As I commence my teacher training, I am looking forward to seeing how it can inform my position as a Staff Governor.
